Harry Wolkenfelt
Harry Wolkenfelt’s inspiring story begins in Brisbane, Australia, where he was born in 1964 to Dutch parents.
At the age of eight, he moved with his family to the Netherlands, a transition that was far from easy for him. He didn’t speak the language and missed the sunny Australian climate – a feeling of nostalgia that remains with him to this day.
Soon, Harry found his first passion in football, with the dream of becoming a professional player. Unfortunately, a knee injury abruptly ended this ambition.

This setback brought a drastic change to his life. Determined to succeed, Harry focused entirely on his education, completing both his HAVO and VWO diplomas.
After studying Facility Management, he couldn’t find a suitable job in this field and decided to start his career in the banking sector, where he discovered his passion for investing and finance.
This led to a successful 20-year career at prestigious banks like ING and Van Lanschot Bankiers, where he held roles including Head of Investments and Director of Private Banking.

Yet, Harry felt the call of entrepreneurship. In 2009, he founded Solarif, a company specializing in insuring solar panel installations. Thanks to his dedication, ambition, drive, and extensive expertise, Solarif grew into a leading company in the solar industry. Harry enjoys sharing his knowledge at international conferences and has built a strong global network in the sector.
Despite his work ethic, Harry always makes time for what truly matters: his family. Together with his wife Miriam, their children Amy and Timo, and their dogs Blacky and Papi, he cherishes valuable moments, often in the form of trips to special destinations.

Although he doesn’t see himself as a typical bon vivant, he deeply values the time spent with his loved ones.
At the same time, his focus remains on the continued growth of Solarif and contributing to a sustainable future.
